Human Design Authority

The Emotions move in a wave from Hope to Pain and you feel accordingly. This movement of your emotional wave never stops. There are different waves and mixtures of different types of feelings. You are always feeling something, whether internally as nervousness or externally as demonstrated in your behavior. For this reason you are always experiencing the present colored by some Emotion or other. When you're happy, you may say "YES!" to something that is not so good for you and when you are down in your wave, you may reject something or someone who could be a source of nourishment for you.

This is why it is essential that you learn patience and remind yourself that, for you, there is no truth in the now. You are only seeing part of the picture in the moment. Being spontaneous is the worst thing you can be.

Response comes from the gut without hesitation. If there is any hesitation, then the answer is "No" or "I don't know right now, ask me again later or ask me in a different way."

The movement of energy when positive will animate your body with nods and mannerisms. The lack of response will issue no sound and no movement, unless it's a shrinking retreat into oneself, a defensive tightening of your boundaries. Your life force seeks satisfaction in life by being used appropriately. In most people, it is not used properly and the result is frustration and a feeling of being "stuck".

There are many physiological sensations that can precipitate from this instantaneous Awareness. They can be subtle, like a temperature that moves across the skin, tingles around the temples of your head or goose bumps across your arms and body. The hackles of your neck can suddenly rise to attention or electricity pass through your body. These sensations, and more besides, come in reaction to something in the local environment, be that a faint sound, the intonation of a spoken word or simply tuning into the quality of invisibles and intangibles that could be a threat or conversely, something that is advantageous for your wellbeing. It's all about the now.

Your Inner Authority is directly connected to whatever you have real willpower for. It makes itself known through what you say. You are designed to have impact through the sheer force of your Will, as it is directly connected to your Throat Centre in such an expression. This Motor-to-Throat activation is concerned with what you have or don't have. So if you hear yourself saying "I want that and I'm going to get it", it follows that your Will is expressing its power and has sufficient energy to get whatever it may be that you want.

Your Inner Authority depends upon you centering yourself in your Will and asking yourself "What do I really want?" "What's the benefit I can receive?" In tuning into your willpower when you ask such questions, you will know whether something or someone is really your heart's desire and you can decide whether the effort necessary to use your Will in guiding them is worthwhile or not for you.

Your Inner Authority expresses itself through the voice of your identity speaking out and depends upon you recognizing it as something that is truly 'you' reacting to any invitation that comes your way. "Will accepting this invitation make me happy?" is the crux of the matter.

Truth has an unmistakable 'ring' to it and an immediate knowing that cannot be denied. If upon hearing yourself speak from your own truth when you ask such a question, you can recognise whether something or someone is really worthwhile for you to get involved with you will recognize the ring of truth to your words as they leave your mouth.

The key to making correct decisions for you is to consider "Am I in the correct place?" "Does it feel right for me?" You receive sensory input from the environment around you through your Open Centers. There will be a preferable milieu for you, somewhere you may discover by considering the places where you like to eat, previous homes you've been happy in, times you enjoyed with people in particular places.

Wherever you are, especially where you live or work, you need to tune into the place itself. If you feel uncomfortable in an environment, then anything that comes from being there, the people you meet or the agreements you make with them, are not likely to be in your best interests.

You really need time to make correct decisions. It can be most helpful for you to talk about possible invitations that you have received with those you trust. Regard them as sounding boards rather than advisors. They are simply there to provide you with different perspectives so you can hear your own voice in dialogue with others.

It is best for you to wait a relatively long time in making any important decisions in your life; at least one whole Moon Cycle, which is around 28.5 days long.

You are an Outer Authority person, not an Inner Authority person. You can become very lost in others and end up feeling very disappointed with most people, unable to find your place where your wisdom, when sampling everyone else, can benefit everyone around you. You really need this lunar month length of time to make correct decisions. You are not to be spontaneous.

It can be most helpful for you to talk about possible invitations that you have received with those you trust. Regard them as sounding boards rather than advisors. They are simply there to provide you with different perspectives. Of course, it's not easy for you, as someone who has Outer Authority for the benefits of others to have to go to others because you may feel lost in your own life.
