Human Design Channels

There are 36 Channels in the Human Design Bodygraph. Each one connect, two of the 9 Centers together through the quantum of the two Gates involved. Here the 'whole is larger than the sum of its parts.'

In a Defined Channel (coloured in) we see someone's consistent Life Force as it flows in a unidirectional way from one Center to another. It shows us what is reliable and always there for us in our life's journey.

As an example, The Channel of Concentration (52/9) links the stillness of a Root Center energy where stillness is necessary as it meets the power to focus in the Sacral. Someone with this Channel in them has the power to concentrate of the small details and there is an intensity in the way they express this logical energy.

Another example is The Channel of Transitoriness (36/35). This Channel carries with it the underlying theme of desire in their emotional energy that desires to experience something new and share in the the experience with others. The feeling of crisis is often present as one can be overwhelmed by experiences but will inevitably be expanded in the experience and can then share their wisdom afterwards. Often this Channel brings a love of travel and the desire to impact and be impacted by whatever they meet along the way. Change is embraced in what can be a rollercoaster emotional ride until the experience is over. Then the desire is to go on another wild ride that they haven't experienced before.

In discovering what the Defined Channels are all about in one's chart is another powerful way we can recognise what is always in us and verifying the validity of this knowledge through reflection upon what one can recognise as being always true for us.
